How to Appear Offline on Rocket League on PC, PS4, and Xbox

Rocket League is a car soccer video game and it has also a Multiplayer feature that allows you to play it with your friends. You can invite your friends to your lobby and experience the vehicle football game. However, this fun doesn’t last as you start getting tons of invites from your Rocket League game friends.

If you don’t like to ignore your friends’ game invites, then you should know how to hide your online status in Rocket League. When you appear offline on Rocket League, your friends will not know whether you are online or not and you can play solo or with your favorite ones. This article will help you to appear offline on Rocket League on PC, PS4, and Xbox.

How to Appear Offline on Rocket League?

However, Rocket League doesn’t have any in-game feature to temporarily hide your Online status. The only way you can appear offline to your friends is by hiding your platform’s online visibility status.

On PC (Epic Launcher)

If you play Rocket League on your PC by using the Epic Launcher, then there are fewer chances that you can hide your online status. Epic Games encourage online multiplayer gaming and they do not have any in-built gaming feature to appear offline.

Luckily, I have found two methods that you can use on Epic Launcher to Hide your online status.

1. Use the Sign-in Later option:

When you launch the Rocket League game for the very first time, you are asked to sign in to your Epic Games account. If you do not have an account, you can create a new one and it will allow you to connect with your friends.

But if you want to hide your online status, you can skip this step. If you have already logged in to your Epic Launcher account, then Sign out. Click on your Profile name and Select Sign Out.

Restart the Launcher and you’ll be asked to log in. There you can see the Sign In Later option at the bottom of the screen. Click on that and you will be able to access the Epic Games Launcher in an offline mode. It means you can directly play the Rocket League game offline and your friends will not find out about your online visibility. However, you may not be able to play the Online Multiplayer without Signing in.

2. Enable Offline Mode Browsing to Appear Offline on Rocket League:

This option allows you to play games in offline mode when you do not have an internet connection. You can use Offline Mode browsing to appear offline in Rocket League too, and here’s how to do this:-

  1. Run the Epic Games Launcher.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Under Preferences, tick the Enable Offline Mode Browsing option.
  4. Now disconnect from the internet and Run the Epic Games Launcher.
  5. Enter your credentials and click on CONTINUE IN OFFLINE MODE.

Once you enter the Offline Mode, you will appear offline in the Rocket League game. However, you’ll have to Sign in using the internet if you want to play online features such as Multiplayer.

For PS4 Users:-

PS4 users can easily hide their Online Status Offline and their friends wouldn’t find out whether they are online or not.

  1. Launch your PS4 and press the “X” button to open your profile.
  2. Go to the ‘Set Online Status’ box and highlight it.
  3. Once you highlight the ‘Set Online Status box’, you will get a prompt to appear online or offline.
  4. Choose the Appear Offline option.

For Xbox Users:-

  1. Go to the Home Screen and press the up arrow button on your controller.
  2. This will select your profile picture.
  3. Now with your Profile selected, Press the “A” button to open your profile.
  4. Once the Profile page opens, scroll down below and tap on the Appear online option.
  5. Select the “Appear Offline” option from the drop-down menu.

That’s all, you need to know about how to appear offline on Rocket League on PC, PS4, and Xbox. The above steps may help you to hide your online status from your friends. If you have any queries regarding Rocket League, do let us know in the comments section below.
